Some sites also allow you to use your LinkedIn profile in lieu of a resume for your application, so make sure yours is fully fleshed out, aligned with your current resume, and includes a professional-looking head shot.Theres no excuse for not knowing about the company.Employers are spending more money to build out their employment brands. From their About Us sections filled with videos and social media accounts to company profiles on sites like The Muse and Glassdoor, theres tons of company information available when youre preparing to apply for a job or interview with a company.Employee referrals are still the number one source for hires.Recruiters value referrals above other candidates because the hiring time is traditionally shorter, the cultural fit tends to be better, and employee turnover is lower.
